Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"A dude, that's who." Dimitri stated smugly as he stopped to open the door to the game room for them.

Dyrus did the same and walked quietly beside Haley. He decided to go to the front sitting room to talk with her.
"Try it on Mr. Owl next time we see him," Alexis suggested. As she stepped into the room, she sighed softly. "This place just got a whole lot better."

Haley followed him, leaving choice of location up to him. "I hope you were really done eating, otherwise I feel bad for dragging you way out here just to talk," she said gently.

(Her reply to Alastor made me laugh so hard. :lau )

" You're confinement is of your own design. We can't trust you with basic freedoms, so you're treated like a high security inmate. " Alastor stated quietly. He sighed wearily and continued, "In fact, Razeth was very much like you, but even he's come around now. He has the freedoms that are denied you. Can't you meet us halfway Eliana and see these tests are for your own good? You have DNA rewriting your very genetic code. We must know if it's turning for the worst, before complications become life-threatening. Just as we needed to know your limits and challenge them."

Leverett was a bit surprised by her teasing statement, but also flattered. "Why, thank you......I think. " He said with a soft chuckle as he chanced a glance to Layla. "But I'll have to take your word for that." He replied with mild humor. He then marveled that everything she'd said about herself, she was nothing like that. At least, not that he could see. He'd only seen one flash of temper and it had been on his behalf.

"Adrian, you say the sweetest things. I'm sorry you miss your family, but I'm glad you're her with me. I'm just that selfish, I'm afraid. " Willow informed him as he hid her face in the crooked neck. Ashamed of herself for saying such aloud.

(Glad you liked it, I was laughing as I wrote it out, just seemed to fit the bill. BTW she has no memory before confinement with Ryker and I left it open ended so it could be from her subconscious shutting out painful memories or it could be something Ryker did. Your choice if you want. ;) )

Eliana gave an exasperated sigh, "But you people created me in the first place." With that she dropped the subject, it would just go round in circles like it usually did. She laid there and stared blankly at the ceiling unsure what else she could or should say. Yes she wanted freedom but she didn't trust anyone here. About the only thing she trusted was that they didn't want her dead, because if they did she probably would be by now. "How about you loosen the restraints and I will attempt not to hurt you? Sound like a plan?" She asked looking at his tired expression.

(I was trying to have her be on good behavior but now your making me self conscious and I feel like I am going to have her act out now...we shall see.)

Layla smiled back at him, happy that he wasn't weirded out by her comment. She really had no tack but that didn't seem to faze Leverett. She had done her best to temper herself since their talk about feeding the good wolf. But to be honest he made it easy when it was just the two of them, she suspected adding more people to the mix would probably make things worse or at least harder for her. "You're welcome." Layla said simply to his remark. As they exited the house she glanced at him, "Which way is it?" She asked curiously.

Adrian wrapped his arms around Willow and allowed her to bury her face in the crook of his neck. "Its ok, I would probably miss them more if I didn't have a friend like you to keep me company. And you have no family to care for you, so you have a right to be selfish. If you like I can be your surrogate family." He said warmly as he pulled her back from him so he could look in her eyes. He wanted her to see that she should not be ashamed and that he was ok with who she was.

Amaryllis shook her head. "I can't eat." She admitted almost as a soft moan. The previous feeling of hunger was replaced with a pain in her chest that was much more unbearable than the first. She rested her head on the table, and encircled her head within her arms. She closed her eyes and patiently waited for the pain to cease.

Anuerin stared blankly across the room, allowing his fears and regrets for his decisions consume his attention.

Laurel smiled broadly with the realization that Razeth accepted her for who she was. Unlike everyone else in her life, Razeth did not correct or conform her character. Instead he embraced it, and that made her love him even more.

"No." Cyra replied, her voice suddenly low. "He, was, my brother." She explained further, knowing Indigo wouldn't let the subject go without being fully answered. She reached out to grab hold of the picture, staring at Indigo as she waited for him to let go.

Ioans fist clenched around the paper. What did Ryker want from him? Did he expect that this action would build a sense of security between the two? He couldn't persuade himself to believe that Ryker had taken this man's life with good intentions. Afterall, his son's death didn't completely hang from the general's neck. It was Ryker's evil experiments that prepped his son for an untimely death.

Andorra beamed with purpose at Donella's words and friendly hug, " Ok, I'll get you a little of everything I like." She said excitedly as she smiled and opened the door to go.
Donella returned to her bed, grabbing a book off her desk on the way to read it while she waited for Andorra to return

Areum shivered in his hands, curling up a bit more as a response. She didn't speak, she was content in his arms. It was a strange feeling. She felt safe, calm, secure. She purred softly.
Rowan glanced to her at the purr, that was an odd sound from a wolf mix, but he actually rather liked it. It was...soothing. He rubbed her arm gently with his hand to help warm her as they sat together.

Areum warmed at his touch. She growled softly, a growl that wasn't aggressive, but rather a submissive and more pleasant one. She said quietly, still looking down "Thanks for everything today."

Lucy shifted immediately after landing. She was trembling a bit, jolted by the landing and the heights. "Well," she finally managed, "that was fun. And terrifying. But fun, so thanks."

"Hm?" Atalanta looked up confusedly at the light touch. She had already shut off the previous subject completely from her mind so Claire's comment threw her for a moment. "Oh, yeah, thanks," she said quickly.
She followed after Claire as they went down the buffet, adding to her plate what she wanted, which at the end amounted to very little. She was a light eater and she saw no reason to take more than necessary.
Victor jumped off the windowsill and shifted, replying with a smile "It was fun seeing you scared. But yeah, thanks for agreeing to it."

Claire got a salad, nothing else, and waited for Atalanta to get what she needed before following her to sit down.

"My pleasure," Lucy said, giving him a weak smile. Stepping away from the window, she looked around the room they found themselves in.

Atalanta grabbed a glass, filled it with tea, then lead the way over to a corner table. "Is this fine?" She asked.

Victor looked at her inspect the room. He asked with a raised eyebrow and a bit of a grin "You like it?"

Claire nodded, replying "Of course. Anywhere is fine." She sat down and took a bit of food, before asking "So. You like this place or not?"
