Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Caey set the books in the room then waved to Andorra before heading to find Amara, looking in the lesser used hallways now. He shifted once he was away from the better used ones and started sniffing for a trail to follow.

Amara sat at the window, she was feeling much better but didn't want to leave just yet. People rarely used this hall and it was blessedly quiet at the moment. She closed her eyes and just for a moment, with the outside air in her nose, she could forget she was here. She let out a wistful sigh as she opened her eyes and looked out the window, hoping that at some point she would feel the warmth of the sun on her fur again.

" We'll leave it a mystery at this point. I can't have you knowing all my secrets in one day." Leverett said with humor. It acutely felt good to laugh agian. Even if it was anot ache due to his bruised ribs. "So what have you been doing? Keeping busy?" He asked conversationally.

"I'll give you a black eye to see a red frog through if you don't bugger off and hand over the goods." She said with a growl as he tried to get around him to get it.
~~~
Dyrus smirked and leaned over to ran his fingers on the small of her back just above her waist band that had become exposed with her position. "That, my dear, is the eye candy I speak of." He whispered softly to her.
"Well, I was keeping busy sparring," Priam said, chuckling softly at the irony. "Didn't end so well. I guess I'll go back to my books. What about yourself?"
Allen stood then, stepping back with the bag clutched in hand. He was careful not to let the goods spill out the small tear he'd made in the corner as he juggled it between hands in order to keep out of her reach. "I bet this is new for you, Missy. Having to beg for what you want," he taunted.
Haley turned bright pink in the face at his comment and she quickly straightened, grabbing his hand to pull herself up. "Why Dyrus, whatever will I have to do to make you behave in public?" She purred.
Anne didn't look up at Alexis. Casey answered the question well enough, so there wasn't much else she could contribute. "Okay. Thanks so much for your help," she said, raising a hand to wave as he left.
Alexis nodded. Swallowed hard. She went to Dimitri's side, noting the restraints that had been dropped to the floor. If he was unconscious then he wouldn't be aware of her presence, which was probably for the best. Well it wasn't good that he was unconscious but it meant she could say whatever and he wouldn't hear her. So, still wringing her hands nervously, she spoke. "Hi, Dimitri," she said softly, barely audible, aware of the nurse probably listening nearby. But then the nurse took her clipboard and walked to the other end of the room, so Alexis felt freer to speak. "I heard what happened and, uh, I just wanted to see for myself. See you for myself. Um." Geez, she felt stupid, talking to him in this state, but if this was all she was gonna get then she may as well take advantage of it. Gingerly, she reached for his hand. "I'm sorry about what happened earlier. Like, really, really sorry. Sorry won't mend things, but I hope you know I mean it." And she did. She meant it with all her heart.
Dimitri frowned in his sleep, but squeezed Alexis hand gently. He wasn't aware, but physical stimulus got through on some level.
Alexis glanced over her shoulder to make sure the nurse's attention was fully on her work. It was, as far as Alexis could tell, so she stepped a little closer. The ends of the straps used to keep Dimitri down were still draped across the end of the bed, so she moved them aside, making as little noise as possible. Still holding tight to his hand, she seated herself on a chair nearby. She'd much rather sit beside him, on the edge of the bed, but Casey had mentioned him thrashing so she had to satisfy herself with the next best for both their safety.
(Am I right to assume that the teeth marks show through human form, even though he was bitten as a tiger?)
Lyra turned to the man who was looking at her, she supposed he was speaking to her too. "Hmm?" She said having wondered if he was speaking to her. "Oh you mean me?! Yes thank you I am quite ok, just wandering, seeing where my feet take me." She said with a small smile as she looked up at him.
"Ah." Zaine sighed softly. That was understandable. "Just a suggestion, you may want to look up occasionally. Otherwise you may find your feet take you into a head on collision. I say that from personal experience." Chuckling, he rubbed the back of his neck absentmindedly, recalling the collisions he'd had here doing the same thing.
Anuerin waited to smile at Nova when she looked ahead. He walked close, easily figuring where she was taking him by the path she followed.
Nova walked to the beach along the path, making sure he stayed with her along the way then stopping when she could see the water.
Elliot looked down at himself, muttering “Who knows.” He looked at his knuckles, as if he knew the claws that would spring from them would draw blood.
Zoe wasn't satisfied with that and grabbed his hand, watching his face. "Elliot, look at me. You couldn't stop being taken, just as you couldn't stop this from happening. You weren't there and you couldn't help that you weren't there. Even if you had been there, it would have only meant your death or injury also."
Casey found her after a while and came over to her, shifting back to his human form "Are you alright Amara?" He was a little surprised she hadn't gone back to the roof, but glad she was so easy to find.
Anuerin paused near the water to breath in the salt air. "Haven't come here in a while." He admitted as he walked closer to the water.
