Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

(Well aren't you kind, setting me up an exact spot to hop in :D )

Allen, with his hands behind his back and a guard on either side of him, walked at a fast pace down the hall. The guards stopped abruptly in front of a cell door. While the one on his right dug around for the matching key, the one on his left stared straight ahead but kept his hand clasped around Allen's wrist. Allen glared at the man, but he didn't seem to notice or care. When the key was finally found, the guard inserted it into the keyhole and opened the door for Allen to enter.
Lucy looked up expectantly, and looked in envy at a man who hadn't seen as many changes as she had. She sighed to herself and stayed sat on her bed, as to not start up anything with the guards.

Allen stiffly stepped forward, stopping once he had crossed the doorway. The guards released his arms and slammed the door behind him. Allen didn't move until the lock sounded behind him and the guards left. He stared at the girl, confused by her presence, but quickly regained his composure. "Hello," he nodded towards her, but didn't move from where he stood.

Lucy looked at him with curiousness, then replied softly "Hey. Sorry about my features, Ryker robbed my human-ness from me."

"No need to apologize," Allen said graciously, "but I wouldn't consider it 'robbing'. I think he rather did us all a favor," he said thoughtfully. He took a step forward, apparently undecided about what to do next.

Lucy replied "That might be true, but it's going to be hard to embrace being for snake than human.
"Well, yes, I suppose so, in your case," Allen stuttered. This girl's body must of reacted more with the animal DNA, as the creature's features were more obvious on her than most of the people he had seen here. "I'm Allen, by the way," he quickly added to change the subject.

Lucy nodded, and replied "I would be Lucy." She looked at his features in awe, since there was almost no sign of him being a lion. She asked "I hope you don't mind living with a snake. I don't bite...most of the time." She smiled, indicating she was joking.

Allen leaned against the wall across from her and crossed his arms, a relatively comfortable stance to him. "And why are you not Lucy now?" he asked, hoping she would catch his lame joke.

Lucy shook her head and said, holding in a laugh "Well now that I'm dealing with this, I might as well bite." Her small grin indicated she was joking, but soon it shifted to a serious face that asked "So, what should we do about this one bed? Should we take turns?"

"Obviously you must take it," Allen said decidedly. "One of the guards mentioned he'd find a cot or something, so I'll sleep very well on that."
