Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"Is that why you became a doctor?" Alexis asked, keeping the conversation going if only to keep her mind off Dimitri's state. "To make people feel better?"
"One reason" Michael said, turning to look at the microscope that had a blood sample on it. "I debated being a veterinarian or a doctor for a long time before deciding on doctor." He said and looked to her again.

Lucy's hand flew to her mouth in a very un-zombielike manner. "You—you'd kill me?" She dropped her act and went to open the door. "That's not very nice, you know. What would you do without me, your little caffeinated zombie child?"
Victor shook his head, asking “So if I don’t kill you, then you’d eat me. And that doesn’t sound too enjoyable.” He pondered our loud “But that would mean losing the zombie girl...”

Leah silently hated herself. Why did she always have to make it so difficult? She tried to mend things with a quiet sentence “But I would like to think of you as my dragon. In a loving way.” She looked at the water, inwardly screaming until she heard an answer.

William looked over to her and listened as she tried to amend her previous statement. He smiled, she was trying, and it was obvious this was new to her, so he didn't hold it against her. "I would be honored to be YOUR dragon, and you may thing of me that way if you like. It has a nice ring to it, and while I have never been unpopular before I can't say anyone has ever wanted me, I tend to be too obnoxious." He said with a chuckle, but it was nice to be wanted.

"Very well," Zaine said, with a nod. He could do that, since she was doing it for him. His face lit up when she shifted and in her place was left a fuzzy little skunk. "My heavens," he murmured as he crouched to pet her skunk. "You're not going to spray me, I hope."

Lyra shook her head and moved closer to him and sat down so he could pet her. Most people wanted nothing to do with her animal despite its cuteness because she was a skunk, so it was kind of nice that he wasn't turning up his nose at her.

Vasper looked to Layla Layla drawn out moment. Should he chance it? Would she ridicule him? But in the wake of those thoughts, his lips spilled forth an undeniable truth. "It is a voice in my mind, not my own, but in the guise of my tormentor as a youth." He looked down ther hallway as they walked. What would she say to that? He wondered. "That you're bat in the belfry crazy." The voice in his mind accused. He clenched his jaw with frustration.

Willow grinned unabashedly as she watched Adrian move to check the pizza in the oven. " How's it looking Hoss?" She asked with a drawl. It was looked very good from her angle. Posterior was always one of her favourite views. Especially bent over looked into that oven. Down girl! She chastised herself.

Madison smiled and closed her eyes as she imagined what Allen had looked like. "Oh, yes. You could definitely say that. And there was something about him.......something I just can't put my finger on." She explained with a sigh. "Are we there yet?" She asked as she opened her eyes and looked to where Saskia was leading her.

It felt as if Alastor's heart was in his throat as he watched Eliana's movements, as it her very actions would influence the rest of his time here. As she'd reached out, almost touching the door handle, he felt an immeasurable loss. But she didn't leave him like everyone else had, she came back to him. She'd chosen to stay. He blinked out of his stupor at her soft words. He smiled weakly and was quick to reassure her, " That mug was not mine and if it was, they are dime-a-dozen. Let's get you that tea. I could actually use some more coffee myself. As far as how you can help. How are you at typing? I do need my notes transcribed. I'm dreadful at it. " He put down the first aid kit he'd been holding like an idiot and moved to a cabinet that had a few mugs. He brought two over to the beaker he used for his hot water only. He poured hot water into both mugs and mixed instant coffee granules in his. "Did you find a tea you liked in the variety pack" He asked conversationally.
(Somehow, I doubt that will be happening anytime soon. :D Neither is the touchy-feely kind.)

Layla looked at him when he spoke and her face softened a bit in understanding. While she couldn't say she experienced the same thing as him, she understood being tormented as a child, it was what gave her most of her demons. " No I do not hear voices like that, when I ridicule myself its tends to be my own voice in my head. But I know what it is to be terrorized and tormented by others in my youth, its what drove me to come here. It is what fuels my demons and my anger, to keep me from ever being like that again." she said simply, she didn't reach out to him, or offer him physical comfort in any way. She didn't know him well enough if that would be accepted, and she also didn't think he would want that from her. But she thought that it might help him to know that he was not alone and not crazy.

Adrian looked back over his shoulder at Willow and smiled when he saw her expression, it was clear she was enjoying the view. He laughed and closed the oven and stood and adjusted the timer. "Its got about another 5-8 minutes or so, just about done. Enjoying the view I see." He said with a chuckle as he walked over to her, and circled her waist with his arms.

Saskia laughed, ever impatient Madison. "Yes I think we are here, the scents all converge here, at this door." She said as she looked at the cell door they stood in front of. She tested it and found it unlocked, not surprising if the occupant wasn't inside. "Alright Madison lets see what we can learn about your bachelor!" She said as she opened the door for her with a grin.

( Yeah not the touchy feely type indeed, lol )

Eliana gave him a small smile as she moved to where he was making the coffee. "Yeah the breakfast tea isn't half bad." She said as she grabbed the tea bag from the box where it had been left and brought it over to her mug and dropped it in. " As for typing I am not sure as I don't have many chances to use a computer. But I am happy to try if you show me what needs to be done." She said quietly, she thought she could use a computer from her past but she couldn't remember.

Leverett closed his hand around Harper's. Feeling as if a define entity had sent her to chase away his demons gnawing at his soul. He looked to her with tears for a very different reason as he whispered his grateful heart. "Thank you. You are a blessing in my darkness. A beacon that called out to remind me of myself. "

Harper smiled that he was renewed but a was a bit uncomfortable being called a beacon of anything, yeah she was terrible at this. But she managed to get him through and that was what mattered to her in that moment. "Your welcome, I am glad that I can help. Stay strong, we are never given more then we can handle. Do you need anything else, aside from the pain medication?" She asked as she patted his hand where he squeezed hers.

Lyra shook her head and moved closer to him and sat down so he could pet her. Most people wanted nothing to do with her animal despite its cuteness because she was a skunk, so it was kind of nice that he wasn't turning up his nose at her.
Zaine pet her gently under the chin. He'd never touched a skunk before, though he had seen them in the wild plenty. "Curious animal to want to create a shifter into, but to each his own," he mused.

Victor shook his head, asking “So if I don’t kill you, then you’d eat me. And that doesn’t sound too enjoyable.” He pondered out loud “But that would mean losing the zombie girl...”
Lucy leaned against the door, unable to open it without his key. "Put in that perspective, logic says kill me and save your own fat hide," she said, tapping a forefinger against her forehead in thought. "But who says ya have to be logical! Let's just defy logic the whole ten yards and I won't even have to eat you. Problem solved."

"Well you can be both here," Alexis said, chuckling at her own answer. Okay maybe that wasn't funny. But it felt good to slightly laugh, even if it was at her own stupid point.

"That is true and one reason they got me to come here." Michael said, looking to her and smiling again. "It is good to be able to use what I have learned to make you kids well when you get sick."
