Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Ellie shook her head as she opened a bag of pretzels. "No I don't want to know, not really. It doesn't matter anymore, how much time its been I mean. I try not to let it trouble me." She said with a shake of her head as if it would help make her believe it was 100% true.

Lyra was happy for the silence and the companionship after that ordeal. Her pencil moved over the paper in delicate but intricate strokes. She glanced up every now and again, making sure she got the details right. With the rough outline done she began working on the details starting with the eyes. They were the most important in her book, especially with animals they conveyed all the emotion.
To each his own, Samantha thought. It killed her not knowing things, especially things that pertained to herself, so she couldn't imagine going as long as years with that big an unknown hanging over her. "So you're one of those who puts their past behind completely here," She said. It was more of a statement than a question.

Alexis pawed at the made bed before sitting down to watch Lyra draw. Only, she couldn't really see from her angle so she immediately after stood and jumped across.

Zaine stayed perfectly still except for his eyes, which followed the feline as she reseated herself close behind the girl.

Andorra facepalmed, "Where are my manners. This is Donella and I'm Andorra. Who are you, by chance." She said with interest. She thought he was handsome. Maybe her crush on Ioan had some competition.

Dimitri leaned his back aginst the doorframe as they got their meet and greet done. He glanced to Donella as Andorra spoke and rolled his eyes slightly. The doctor didn't know what he was in for with this one.
"Micheal Young, I am your new doctor, since you kids need specialized care." He said with a smile at the girls.

Donella looked to Dimitri and smiled. She dipped her head then stepped closer "I am glad you are better now" She said softly.
Emily waved to the group when she rounded a corner and spotted them. She sped her step, eager to get to them before they dispersed. "Dimitri! Oh it does me good to see you're up," she said, placing her hand lightly on his shoulder. "How is everything going?" She asked, looking from him to the doctor.

"The virus seems to have run its course" Michael told her

Ellie looked down at the food she was eating so Sam couldn't or wouldn't see her face at that statement. She could never fully put it behind her, but in a way by not asking what had happened to him she was, and that made her so terribly sad. Maybe she would get up the courage to ask Ryker someday, as it was she just assumed he was dead, if Ryker could have saved him he would have. "Yeah as much as I can. I take it you don't?" She asked looking up to Sam then.

Lyra smiled as Alexis moved closer to her so she could watch her draw. Maybe she would let her draw her cat sometime she thought to herself. Either way she was fine with it, she had always liked cats and had begged to be allowed to have one and was never allowed too. After finishing Zaine eyes she moved to getting the patterns on his feathers right as she shaded here and there, turning her pencil on its side to shade with the larger surface. "Your doing great, I am almost done." She told him reassuringly in case he was wondering why it took her so long. As she focused on trying to get the feathers right she stuck her tongue out slightly and furrowed her brow.

Samantha shrugged, but she wore a hint of a frown. "My past is strange, but I'd prefer to keep it close so as to not forget it entirely. I don't know where you stand, but a good many of people Ryker's taken in here were orphaned or abandoned or something tragic, and they'd rather forget everything that isn't now. But I like remembering. A bit backward, maybe, but holding what I was a few years ago close, it makes the now easier to go through." She glanced up at Ellie to see if she was following.

Zaine stretched his wings out briefly, then settled back down so she could finish. He couldn't respond verbally to her comment so he just continued staring at the two.
