I am looking for a list of good kids stories about chickens. I have read a few that I didn't think were all that great. If you read a good one let me know the name and author.

The best I have found at this point is "Squawking Matilda' by Lisa Horstman

I'll have to go through some of my others when I get home.
 
I found a book from 1898 on ebooks ( free ) called The Chickens of Fowl Farm ....but what's really interesting are the photos from that time period.
 
I've got two more:

Big Chickens Fly the Coop by Leslie Helakoski
Big Fat Hen (Classic "One two buckle my shoe" counting but with AMAZING illustrations) by Keith Baker
 
Great, keep them coming, I will be interloaning alist of them at my library. The only one I have read is Louise: the adventures of a chicken.
