I asked about putting my 10 day olds out in the coop yesterday and I had a request for pics..... so here you go.
There is a pic of them laying down.... are they okay, or are they too hot?

Is it okay that they are laying like that or are they too hot?

Awww that is so darn cute! I love it! How hot is it today for you? Chicks look fine to me, and happy (:

they are beautiful birds! what kind of chickie are they?

They are all Barred Rocks. The girls are about 11 days old. The rooster is a few days older than they are.

The airport is 85* and that is 2-3 miles from my house.... no thermometer outside lol.

Remind me of my girls a month back, when they were that small & fluffy.
Now look at them!

You babies look good, no panting, no drooping, they are in the shade. Put in a shallow pan of cool water with them & enjoy.

As you can see, I have their waterer in there with them (yesterday I had it in the run and they didn't seem to touch it. I worry about putting a pan in there because I don't want them to drown.

You got some pretty looking girls there!

I have a pie tin with mine, no fear of drowning.

The baby girls love it, the bigger girls do not even bother with it, they are too busy taking dust baths.

My BR are so sweet & friendly, but now every time I go out there, they think I am bringing them a treat & all come running.

How cute. Usually if they act like the other chicks have the plague and they are panting is when they are too hot. They look totally fine. Super cute too!
