Chinese Button Quail

My young (5 weeks old) male Chinese Button Quail are loosing their "Tail" feathers. All of them! A bald patch on the lower back. I have many others but never seen this. They appear healthy and active and eat well. What could be the cause and is it dangerous.

Is it possible their penmates may be picking on them?

Are there feathers all over your enclosure? It sounds like they might be moulting. Pictures?

When Pedro was molting a few months ago, for a while she just had one outer tail feather on each side of her tail. It looked very hilarious! She is gambel and has very long tail feathers. Fortunately some of the middle feathers had grown in a bit before she lost the last two.

Pictures would help. It sounds like they could be moulting, or someone's pulling out their feathers.
