Hi everyone, I need help in knowing the sex of my chinese goose. About 4 years ago I got 2 pair of geese one was a male and the other was female, i knew because the female started laying eggs, which they hatch but my dad sold them. Then about 2 years ago the male died and the female started ripping her feathers and kind of like in depression because she was alone. I desided to buy her a male geese but im not sure if I got a male. Yestarday my female geese died . And Im still not sure if the one I bought her is male or female. I want to know because im planning on buying another one so he/she wont be left alone. In the picture the one in the back is the female that just pased away. And the one in the front is the one I bought her.

Sorry for your loss. Your goose was beautiful! It is hard to tell gender in the picture, but the profile pic looks like the chinese is smaller than the roman tufted goose. Generally, chinese males are larger and have upright posture, with a more pronounced knob, and the smaller, petite looking ones are females.
