We have an adult Chinese brown goose. We got him as a full grown adult. He has a large nose bump. We were able to get three companions for him (his died a while back) at an auction. They are colored identical but they do not have a bump on their noses (yet). Does this mean they are young? They are nearly his size, but a tad smaller. How old are Chinese geese when they develop the large bump? I cannot find any online photos of a "teenage" Chinese goose. Someone else told us that the lack of bump meant they were girls but his companion was supposed to have been a girl and she had a large bump. So, we are confused LOL! He is happy and that is all that matters, but I do not understand why they do not have a protruding nose bump.
