What changing of the signs???

Although they do change they are just now updating them. Thing is I was born Aquarius and if you believe in that stuff (most Aquarians do) than you know what you are like compared to the outlines, so to speak. I'm definately an Aquarian.

Saw it on the news a couple of days ago and then again yesterday and was on the Today Show this morning and I think even Regis and Kelly.

I'm not changing to make anyone else happy. Matter of fact I'm sure I can make them miserable!

Hmmm, I'll have to look up the changes. I am an Aquarian, though I dont really follow the signs.

Sorry, I haven't been on. I did a chicken run to get some replacements yesterday and slept in today. I did get my eggs in yesterday at about noon. I think I put in 18 eggs, but will have to verify the count as there were some quail eggs too and I can't remember for sure off the top of my head. They are mostly mixes with my none gone Speckled Sussex over a group of different girls. I was able to mark 2 as being from a Russian Orloff hen and 3 are from my Easter Eggers. I am really hoping for the RO chicks as I want to see how that mix comes out. I also have 2 eggs that came from my Barred Rocks that have been seperated out for a while now, so

on those too.

Congrats MS Fuzzybutts!

Good hatching everyone!

12 egg fruit cake dear, I had the recipe, not sure if I still do several moves later. Google would find it I'm sure.

I don't even eat fruit cake but DH does and I used to give them as gifts, perfert for Christmas but good anytime if you know the person likes them.

Ok, this I have to investigate... I am a Leo, wonder if they have changed me too?

EDIT: Ok, that is WEIRD!!! It says I'm a Cancer.

I was on the cusp before but I sure don't think I fit into the Cancer boat.

Even weirder, my sister is in a whole new sign! Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 - Dec. 17. Who's changing the rules??? Put 'em back, I liked the way it was before!

Ok my shipped eggs finally arrived and I have some questions.

1) 3 of the eggs where smashed and leaked over some of the other eggs. The eggs were individually bubble wrapped then wrapped some more in 1 group of six and
1 group of 7. Do I need to be concerned on the egg goo that leaked onto the good eggs? Should I risk washing with warm water and risk loosing the bloom or will
they be ok to set in the bator with that goo on them?

2) I already have the 8 barnyard mix in the brinsea that will be 2 days ahead of the shipped eggs. Can I go into lockdown with the shipped eggs on day 16?
Will the shipped eggs risk drowning in the egg if the humidity is raised to the 60 - 65% range for the eggs ahead of them? Or will they be ok?

These are both new issues for me and I would greatly appreciate your feedback as it would help alot.

Thanks

I am one of the strange people in the world who LOVE fruitcake... That's funny because when hubby and I were talking about the eggs today, I told him that I was going to have to start baking cakes or meringue or something!! LOL My MIL sent us a chocolate fruit cake for Christmas from The Swiss Colony.. How they could call it a fruit cake is beyond me.. It had cherries and pecans on top but in the cake itself was just chocolate chips... That thing was RICH but so good!!

1) I would honestly just try to wipe off as much of the good as possibly with a dry cloth or paper towel.. If you wash them, it will take the bloom off and you risk getting bacteria in the egg more so than if you just wiped it clean..

2) I am just now doing my first staggered hatch but they are a week apart... I don't think 2 days of higher humidity would do any damage.. Maybe raise your humidity a little slow the first day or so (unless you see pips already)? Hope someone can help a little better on that one...

Thankyou Greengoddess.

I think I will take your suggestion on the 2 day difference and just monitor them during this transition. The Brinsea's clear top makes looking in so easy.
