Get a kitten or 2 and they will grow up around adult chickens and keep your chipmunk, mouse, mole and probably rat problems under control. My cats never bother my chickens. I also live in the country and my chickens are free range. My 1st batch of chickens got taken out by the foxes. So I came up with the idea of playing a radio loud all day while they are out and only let them out of the run around noon. I have been doing this for a year and a half and no losses from fox anymore.
