A tree that was taken down last fall is currently being chipped. We have an 8X12 run. I use leaves and pine needles in the run right now. Can I also use the wood chips? My goal is to have DLM and the leaves do a good job. It's just hard to keep enough new leaves in there to keep the DLM going.

Probably OK...especially if it's good and dry.
How big a tree and how are they chipping it?
'What kind' is a good question from @Alabama Jack

Good to have a mix of sizes shapes materials.

Here's a great description of contents and how to manage organic 'bedding' in a run or coop...and there's a great video of what it looks like.

It's a black locust. The chips are a wide variety of sizes. From fine, almost sawdust, to larger chunks and strands.
