Hey everyone. I'm a Californian native and I currently live in an apartment without chickens. Surprised? So is my wife. We have been trying to find a home for some time now and California is not affordable at all. I may be able to move and keep my job ( I work for my parents). I want to move somewhere that would allow me to sustain my family to some degree. I don't mean a full functioning farm but maybe some rabbits, chickens, and plants. I am looking at Texas near Austin. For the move to be successful I need to prove that I can attain more business in whatever place I choose. I work on packaging equipment, repairing and selling, also providing supplies for the equipment. If you are more curious about that feel free to ask questions.
I'm the kind of person who gets too excited for their own good and right now I am excited about chickens. I was looking at Freedom Rangers from J&M as someone pointed out. When I look at Label Rouge's site I see that some of the roosters are naked necked is that the same with the Freedom Rangers? Also, I don't see much information on them should I post my questions in another area than my intro?
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I know what you mean about getting to excited for your own good!!

Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to taking more things into my own hands. Such as health. I'll be seeing you guys around the forum. Great to know that other people are just as happy about doing things the right way.

Wow. Great welcome. The more I am on this site the less I feel like an idiot for wanting chickens.
Mrs. Fluffy Puffy, what part of Texas and what kind of chickens? Buff Orptingtons? Just trying to guess by your name.
