2 day old. I have two in the brooder, so it's not lonely. The temperature seems fine -they're running around and playing rather than huddled close to the light or away from it... although they are periodically lying down. They have water and ground up crumbles... plus my kids are watching it. What am I doing wrong? Is it just chirping or is something wrong?
Now they stopped chirping but are just lying down - not close or far from the heat... just randomly in the brooder... is that ok?

As long as they are definitely eating and drinking I wouldn't worry too much, they are tiny so they can get tired easy. Some poultry electrolytes/vitamins in their water can make them a bit more lively but they're not required so long as they have good feed. I always have a few of mine that seem to spend their start to life just falling asleep in random places.

Chirping can mean anything: give me more heat, give me some cold, give me food, give me water, give me some attention. Sometimes you get louder chicks and sometimes you get quieter ones. The more you cuddle them the more they may chirp as they seem to enjoy the warmth embrace of a cuddle for some reason 😜
