my baby chick won’t stop chirping but when i’m around it stops ? but even if i have my red light on it chirps but when im around it stop but i turned off my red light cause im taking care of her inside my house nd i dont wanna cause a fire. what should i do ?

Is it the only chick you have? How old and can you attach a photo? Is the heat lamp the only heat source you have? What is the temperature inside the brooder with the lamp on vs turned off? Does it have food and water available 24/7?

Chicks will chirp loudly when they need something, food, water, warmth, companionship. It is a distress call meant to call for their mother and/or siblings. See if it is hungry, thirsty, cold or just lonely. Sometimes there will be a chick that is just chirping to get your attention. I had one in my last batch who chirped for no reason at all. This phase only lasted a week or so.

You should not turn the heat lamp off unless the chick is already well feathered and the room temp is safe for it. You should also make sure they can get away from the heat inside the brooder if it ever gets too hot. People usually have the heat lamp on one side of the brooder with a cooler area on the other side so they can go where they are comfortable.

that’s how i have it for right now tomorrow we are getting a metal container for it but right now i have them in a incubator heater because we are scared that if we leave the red light on, the house will burn down and no there’s two chicks but one is injured cause of it’s mom attacking it so we are trying our best to take care of it but right now i was feeding it and it went to sleep as soon as i put it down in the incubator

You need to get a thermometer. In your other thread you've had the heat on, you've had it off, but no one can advise if it's too hot or too cold without knowing what the temperature is inside the brooder.

That said, the way you have the heat lamp set up in that photo is extremely unsafe. The pole doesn't look properly secured, the lamp itself is hanging by a wrapped power cord. Anything bumping it could smash it into the wall or cause it to fall.
