chix & scratch

when can i give my chicks scratch? i got a bag and the grains look too big for the 2 1/2 week old chicks to eat. i didn't see any "chick scratch".

Some times you have to ask for the chick starter. At my feed store, they have it bulk and then bag it up in the size you want., they also have some 10lb bags already made up.
Regular hen scratch is a little big for little ones, but they may be able to eat some of the smaller seeds in there.

How many chicks and what kind?
