I have aquired some australorps and 2 of them really look chocolate to me. Anyone ever seen one? I will try to post some pictures.
 
Took these pictures today. What do you all think? The black is an australorp used for comparison and the chocolate is an australorp also. They are both hens.

I bought about 250 15 month old hens and 2 of them sported this brown color. Just curious if it is a sport. They are from a large hatchery originally and sold as production type austalorps.






 
Maybe it was just my computer or something. They do look chocolaty. Chocolate is a resessive gene like lavendar, both parents have to carry the gene for the chicks to be chocolate. You could put them with a black roo and then breed the chicks together or breed a roo back to mom and see if you get more chocolates. If they are chocolate, you have 2 rare colored birds.
