Chocolate Australorp

Took these pictures today. What do you all think? The black is an australorp used for comparison and the chocolate is an australorp also. They are both hens.

I bought about 250 15 month old hens and 2 of them sported this brown color. Just curious if it is a sport. They are from a large hatchery originally and sold as production type austalorps.

Maybe it was just my computer or something. They do look chocolaty. Chocolate is a resessive gene like lavendar, both parents have to carry the gene for the chicks to be chocolate. You could put them with a black roo and then breed the chicks together or breed a roo back to mom and see if you get more chocolates. If they are chocolate, you have 2 rare colored birds.
