Chocolate Birds in the US?

Lots of people have runners, scovies , and such. Ill e watching this thread

How exactly do you work on them. Are people working with imported birds? I mean its kind of like Lavender isnt it. You can have a project to make the color in some breed but you need some birds that already have it...dont you?
 
Porter's has chocolate turkeys. Well I guess I should say they have chocolate colored turkeys, I don't know quite how an actual chocolate turkey would taste LOL.

A few years back I bought a chocolate hen for the kids' Easter basket. She was almost lifesize
