I HAVE BOTH WELSUMMERS AND BLACK COPPER MARANS. I HAVE HAD A LOT OF CUSTOMERS ASKING FOR A FEW OF EACH BREED SO I DECIDED TO PUT AN ASSORTMENT OF BOTH BREEDS TOGETHER FOR SALE. YOU WILL RECEIVE 12+ 1/2 WELSUMMERS AND 1/2 BLACK COPPER MARANS EGGS WITH YOUR ORDER.
Marans eggs and Welsummer eggs start out very dark at the beginning of their laying cycle and lighten towards the end. I have hens in various stages of their cycles, so some are dark now and others have lightned. You may receive dark eggs or lighter eggs, or a mixture of both. Rest assured your hens, when they start to lay, will lay nice dark eggs. The photos of my eggs are a representation of what yours will look like at or near the darkest point of the laying cycle. The fertility of these eggs has been excellent. I have a 1:4 rooster to hen ratio. I have hatched these myself. I recently hatched some under a broody hen and had a 100% hatch rate! My Marans flock are Bev Davis/Wade Jeane lines originally. My Welsummers and Grisham/Barber line.

I will bubble wrap each egg and pack securely in shredded paper. I will do my best to insure that your eggs arrive safely. As is the case with all shipped eggs there lies a risk of broken eggs or poor hatching due to many factors like rough postal handling, incubation practices and so on. If you should receive more broken eggs than the listing let me know and I will due my best to work something out with you. Average hatch rates on shipped eggs are about 60%. I have had many customers with better than that, some near 100%. I cannot guarantee what you will get. I hope that you get 100% but reality is you will probably not. Shipped eggs are a little risky. With that being said....

I accept PayPal payment only please. Please pay for eggs as soon as possible to ensure the freshest eggs. Delay in payment will only mean a delay in shipping and older eggs. I normally like to ship eggs Monday-Wednesday or on Saturday after payment has been confirmed. This is so that we don't end up with a layover somewhere over the weekend. I can ship express mail if you like, it's more expensive but the postal service does guarantee delivery time with it. I use priority mail normally which they say 2-3 days but they will not guarantee that. (I have ask). If you would like an express mail quote let me know your zip code. PM me if you have questions, additional details or would like to purchase.

** Once you receive your eggs from me, carefully unpack them and place them large side up in a carton for at least 12 hours outside your incubator ( this allows the air sacks to stabilize after shipment). Then place them in the incubator. If there is a problem please contact me so we can work it out. I do my best securely packaging my eggs and I am not accountable for any postal misdeeds. I have a lot of experience packaging eggs to be mailed via USPS. I do guarantee that I will send you fresh eggs with a high degree of fertility...I hatch many of my own eggs.

**72 hour heat packs are available for $4 if temps are very cold.

Please message me to check availability. I sell out pretty quickly every week. I also try to post week by week if I'm sold out or have some available.

**I ship to USA only. Lower 48 states only.

Shipping is $13.95, shipped in a priority mail box with tracking number.

Thanks for looking!

I have openings for this coming week. I will not be shipping any the week of June 21st. If you're interested in some just give me a shout.

Can you ship some tomorrow ? ;) asking as my best broody decided now was the time - and there is nothing like a broody for dark shelled eggs ....

Sorry I'm sold out this week. Might be able to ship first of next week if they lay well over the weekend. Sorry :(

No problem - I'll hit you up in the spring ..... Leave it to a good broody to pick bad timing ! :)

Ok sounds good. I know the feeling this has been the summer of broody hens for me. And I've taken advantage of it. Haven't fired up the incubator once this year.

ha ha I would but lost my head roo and then bam - something happened to the leg of the second roo early in the season - so no fertile eggs ! First time with no roo in YEARS - feels very strange.
I do have 1 coming up in age - still a teen now.
