as much as i like my blues, i kinda hate that it produces 3 colors. So that being said, i think i'll avoid dun haha. as i mentioned, its for a project bird, who's gonna be patterned so solids like black, lavender and chocolate are all on my hit list, eventually i will work on blue (cause i cant resist), but i cant help but think a splash patterned bird will be horrible haha. i guess as far as chocolates go, i'll be waiting a long time. i'll keep my eyes open at sales but don't expect much haha.

I have some Chocolate Old English Bantams (I don't know why they call it "Chocolate" because the color is Dun.) They do not produce Splash, instead it is Khaki. So you get Black, Dun and Khaki. I really like the Khaki color it looks like a diluted chocolate color and the Khaki roosters have a dark chocolate head, hackles and saddle feathers.

I have a choc carrier that if not already taken will go up for auction soon. He has served my project well but I am now onto F2's and he no longer has any girlfriends here. I figure that there is someone out there looking to start a chocolate project and he would be a great candidate for that! When bred to black his daughters will be chocolate if they caught the gene. His sons are black, dun or wild type.
