I have some chocolate oegb and one of my broody hens has started having her eggs hatch. 2 babies are whitish, 1 is black and the other is a beautiful blue! Is that normal?

Chocolate is a dilution gene like blue, so you can expect blacks, chocolates and choc-splash(khaki?) when breeding chocolates.

Chocolate chicks can look like blue chicks. The whitish ones would be your splashes.

OEGBs are superb fliers, wing clipped they still managed to fly/climb a 6 ft fence.

Thanks! It looks like the blueish one is starting to turn more chocolate. Mine are in an enclosed run so they won't get taken by the hawks around here.
