Chocolate orpington cockerel?

Hello! I was sold this little fella as a chocolate birchen orpington bantam. I'm wondering if he actually is and what can can I breed him with to make more like him? Purely project breeding (I have bad experiences with shipping chicks and hatching eggs so I plan to buy locally and the breeder bought him from will not have any more for several years due to unfortunate circumstances with her flock) How does the chocolate gene work and what would be the best breed pairing for him? Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

He’s not Chocolate Birchen. And he doesn’t look like a purebred Orp to me.

He’s probably a project. I guess he is at least mostly Orpington - clean pink legs.
I say he’s not Choc Birchen cause I’d all that pencilling. But can you get pics in natural light?

I can get some tomorrow. I also have pictures of the parents if you'd like to see those. His brother and him look very different, his brother took after the father and this one took after his mother.

Is there anything I can mix him with that I can buy locally? Like barred rock, cuckoo Marans, etc.

You can cross him with anything you want.
