Pullet or Cockerel? 12 week Chocolate Orpington

Can this Chocolate Orpington have that weird feather gene where it looks like the feathers are curled? Or am I seeing saddle feathers? I’ve told Brigid 14million times she will break my heart if she’s a boy … 12 weeks old …

The feathers look damaged... or could it be something like the shredder gene Lavender Orpingtons get?

Looks like a pullet to me.

Her feathers are being plucked and nipped. Check her for lice/mites and observe to see if she's plucking at herself or other birds are doing it to her.
