I need help from those with Orpington experience! Does this 6 week old chick appear to be a cockerel? It's the sweetest and calmest chick in my brooder, loves to sit in our lap and is not aggressive or super active compared to my other chicks. But those feathers do not have the rounded tips that I have read are typical of Orpington hens. Also, the comb is turning a light pink as of this week.

The comb and wattles are a little large for that age, so it could be a cockerel. But too soon to say for sure, though. Orpingtons can be slow to mature.

Maybe it's just the lighting, but the color doesn't look chocolate in the pictures to me.

I think right now it could go either way. It may need a bit more time. Could be a slow developing cockerel, or a faster maturing pullet.
I also think that's not Chocolate.
