Here is a picture of my 8.5 week old buff orpington. Notice the lack of comb development and the tail. I'd say you have a little cockerel there. That is my final answer right now.
 
Kind of thought it was a cockerel just wanted other opinions. Guess it's safe to sale him now. Any thoughts on price? Thanks for your replies!

I've heard about the tail being a fairly reliable sign but I haven't observed it with my birds. I have some with obvious red combs and wattles and early tail feathers and some with pullet looking combs and no tail feathers?

I would buy him off you for $500!!! But that is only because we don't have Chocolate Orpingtons all the way down under.lol.
Not sure on what they go for around your area though sorry.
