And to think I have some Wyandottes I might try this on! Wonderinggggggggggggg

After quarantine you will have to have the birds tested for pollurum and AI before you can legally take them in WV.

... I just made myself a book of poultry import regulations for all 50 states. There are a couple I won't be able to ship to.

ETA: I'm sure Paul Bradshaw will have these birds before any one of us could get them imported.

Hatching eggs after 30 day quarantine? Dang, that's not too good. Who, and how do they decide, decides which will be quarantined and which won't? And declaring them as Imported Food as well?

"They" certainly don't make it easy. Those chocolates are luscious though! Hope you can get it all worked out, look forward to seeing more of them.

The thought right now is that we have a group of adult birds imported into the US. There is a list of acceptable places that you can import from without the quarintine and the UK is ok. I think they will hatch the eggs if a quarantine is required.

Would someone fly over and escort the birds or would we just cross our finger? If someone would escort the birds then they could bring egg in also and that would make it really inexpensive to import eggs. Also do we know the price of the actual birds?

Good God, those are some awesome looking chocolates!!! I am working on chocolate seramas right now, but I would love to work on bantam chocolate orps, too...Does anyone live near Charleston, SC with the same interest? I'd love to pre-buy eggs, or partner up with someone nearby (within a reasonable driving distance of a few hours!)

I have the same questions. I would love to buy actual birds, but what will the price really be in the end?

I could never afford anything like that

But if I had the money, I would be out of this city and into a nice country township and would have all the chickens of my dreams

But anyway, good luck with these beauties!
