Hello this is my first post so here I go.
I'm in the process of buying a house on five acres here in Michigan. I would love to have a small flock of layers (maybe 5-10 total). We're going to have a seven stall barn and even with the goats and horses I plan on getting eventually I'm not going to fill it up. We also have a couple sheds to work with.
My question is there any advantages/disadvantages to converting a stall into a "coop" as opposed to a shed? The shed is aluminum and I worry about the weather in the winter as well as the summer. Has anyone converted a stall to work as chicken housing and if so do you have pictures?
