Choke on a fish?

Once is stops snowing (jeez!), and warms up a bit, I am going to put my 4 ducks and mr. goose into the pond. They will be fenced unless actually swimming, and I plan on sticking a bunch of goldfish (we used to have some, but a heron came when the pond was low, and stabbed them all to death) into the pond. I hope that at least a few of them will grow, and filter the water, but wonder if my ducks understand how to eat fish without choking.... if the fish get bigger, will the ducks choke and die? or will they leave them alone?

that is a great question and i am pretty sure they wont choke on the fish but building or having a pond is a great idea! i like it

I'm not sure about your question but I did pull an intact 5 inch earthworm out of our 4 day old duckling when one inch was left dangling from it's mouth. After that I chopped the big ones up into manageable pieces.

I give my ducks feeder fish. No choking.
