Choked duck

One day my duck was having trouble talking I thought it was a cold or something but I came out the next day and my duck had her head was stuck in a loop of plastic and was being choked I rushed to the scene I didn't want to put strain on her neck ripping the plastic to free her so I used a knife instead. Can a duck get her voice back after being choked? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Depending upon how badly her larynx was injured, she may get her voice back. Is she able to eat. That is what I would be most concerned about.

She isn't having any trouble eating and drinking just her voice sounds like it is horse.

I would say only time will tell how significant the damage. How did she manage to get herself into such a position?

I tried to upload a picture but it wouldn't load. We had a separator between the two doors on the house done by chicken wire and someone put up plastic bags to cover the chicken wire cuz the ducks kept bending the wire to get trough and the plastic bags got old and where tearing and I think how she got stuck was like she was searching the ground for food and her head slipped right through her head as she went to climb up the door to get into the hen house and got stuck if that makes any sense.
