choking duckling, please help

I have a new runner duckling who seems to be choking. HE can still peep, but he's swallowing hard and foaming a bit at his beak.

How can I help him?

Has he gotten into something or has he been fed something different?

I'd just gotten him home when he probably ate dry crumbles without knowing where water was yet.
He's fine now.
