chomped chicken limping

My dad brought his dog to visit and in the blink of an eye she was through the electric fence and wiggled my chicken tractor just right so that the door opened and she got in. I thought the three 3-4 month golden Comets that live there were fine- I let them go on and free range the rest of the day (dog stayed on leash!). However, later in the day I noticed one limping so I caught her and it looks like she got bitten on the leg. Not a gash, and didn't really look like deep punctures, but really it is kinda hard to tell on chicken legs. I put some medicine on the wounds and turned her back out with her buddies. Observing her, it seems like she favors the leg and doesn't stand on it. When she first starts to walk, she hops on one foot a few steps, then starts limping- the farther she goes, the better the limp gets. It makes me think a tendon or muscle got bruised- like once it gets stretched out and warmed up it feels better. So far, it doesn't seem swollen or hot. The bottom of her foot is fine- the only marks I can find are a few small, and seemingly shallow punctures. Any advice?

Thanks!
Andrea

* Vet told me that anytime an animal tangles with another animal, antibiotics are probably necessary. Just thought I'd mention that from the outset. How did you treat her and what did you use???

I would separate her and confine to limit movement and give it chance to heal (also easier to monitor)

Keep it clean and keep applying neosporin till you're sure it's healing.
A good time for extra nutrition too - Avia Charge 2000 or other poultry supplement. Maybe some scrambled egg to uplift spirits!
Pain - 5 regular (325 mg) aspirin (NO SUBSTITUTES) crushed per gallon of water. For smaller batch, 1 baby aspirin (81 mg) to a cup of water is a rough equivalent.
Hope all will be well.

Thanks! She seems about the same this morning, I will pick up some aspirin on the way home from work today and leave her and her friends in their coop today. I will also see what I can come up with antibiotics- we have some pills for the dog that I think are powder filled capsules, maybe I can give her a small portion of that. My vet consult friend is out of town- someone always gets hurt when she goes on vacation!
Thanks!Andrea
