Being new to incubating chickens, I did not candle any of first batch8 out of 11 hatched. 7 have survived. Only loss was a drowned chick. I have a batch on now and did not candle. When I start smelling bad eggs I locate and pull the stinky eggs out. What are thought golf long term success continuing to do the same?

Handling isn't necessary, it's just helpful. I didn't candle my first quail batch (kept forgetting and not having enough time). Got 11 I kept and 1 I had to cull. Not bad in my experience for shipped eggs.
