Ok first chick was a bit darker to start out with but has a huge white dot. He is very brave and sweet and was my very first choice.

Second chick is my daughter’s favorite Very light in color good size dot. Not sure what she sees in him but he is quite cute.

Third chick is chubby and maturing so fast I want to see how he goes. Tiny white dot and very dark odd colors but I still want to compare and see how they all grow up together. I hope I chose well.

Lost my rooster to a bobcat yesterday so I chose 3 instead of 1 or 2. Heartbreaking, I thought I was watching them really close too. Only takes a minute with your head turned around here. That is another story that I hope ends soon

I just love these birds and I don’t know why Someone gave me one about 4 years ago. I did not even want one, it was the Swedish flower hen I wanted. Weird how things work out

Anywho posted a while back about picking a rooster so here they are Thanks for the help.

:frowHello and welcome to BYC!
I think they are too young to choose the best. Since they are all the same breed, I would wait to see which one had the best personality. You'll want to wait until after their hormones kick in. Behaviors and attitude in chicks, especially in roosters, might not be how they act when they are grown.
There are many threads about sweet cockerels turning mean and even attacking children, or even hens, when they reach breeding age.
Good luck!

Auto sexing is great like that.... you know who your girls are right away. I wish you luck in deciding. I know the feeling. I have 3 boys right now that are all nice in their own ways and I'm not sure if I should keep one or not. They are 5 months old next week.
By the time they were 6 weeks old it was pretty clear who was the biggest. Also, I could tell who was growing the most stunning feathers. These traits have been consistent with these three individuals the last 3 months or so.

I'm probably not going to keep them, as they are intended for soup, but I have been observing them. I think the most that is left to reveal is their temperament especially at maturity. Have fun watching them grow!

Yeah I need 2 for sure. We will see how it all goes. I like bold loud roosters around here. This will be the first time I raised so many girls together so it is going to be fun. They are still in the house in my work room. I spoil them all day long.
