I thought it was a large pinwheel block that could be cut to a disappearing pinwheel, but that could have been another site????

Sorry for the misunderstanding on the size of the blocks and I did check my instructions and I did goof, sorry but the 12"block is the finished sewing size, after you sew a 1/4 inch on all sides it will be 12". Those blocks are so beautiful. I have some of that angel fabric so cute. Now to answer your questions lets not use the blue. But I think the gingerbread would be fine. Personally I would use them in my quilt. So 2 questions... These fabrics are they to whimsical/ childish for our blocks? Reason I ask is they may be difficult to incorporate into a quilt? What do y'all think? Or is brown not ok? It isn't mentioned but I know someone has gingerbread men surely?
Other question is this fabric
Second photo fabric with angels...is that too much blue? I mean when you say not to use blue does it mean anything on the fabric that is blue omits that fabric? Or just a fabric that is mainly blue? I have a lot of Christmas fabric....so it's ok either way.. So far you see I have used not a speck of blue.... But I ended a couple fabrics making those blocks.
Yes blocks should be 12.5x12.5 that way when sewed into a quilt they will end up being 12x12. Your designs are wonderful.Ok I'm dense...the blocks I have SHOULD be 12.5 right? Because with the seam allowance they would be 11.5 correct?
Ok no blue, brown ginger breads ok thanks!!
And the designs of my blocks are ok? I'm gonna try an evening star....wish me luck, never done anything with HST's!
