After scouring some special person's profile page and some of the posts she has made on different threads.... I've decided on the design for her mug rug! I think I designed it to be simple enough but then with a few added touches to fancy it up just a little, I hope she's happy!

Now hopefully I have some bits and pieces of fabric that will work.

This is going to be fun!

I was putzing around w/ a more traditional pieced block idea, but I might just go w/ an inspiration from my current obsession, La Passcaglia, it is English paper piecing. like this only in a mug rug

Thanks they are all English paper pieced so individual paper shapes cut out and pressed over then hand whip stitched together.

Kassaundra, they are just breath taking!! You must have sooooo much patience! It looks so intricate! It makes me hyper-ventilate just thinking about making something like that!!
