Christmas in October block Swap

I'm really starting to worry that my method and infantile stitching ( crooked at that) is going to look ridiculous to y'all! I'm not worthy but I AM learning a lot!

I'm sure it will be beautiful, none of us were born with a sewing machine in our hands, we all had to learn and stop worrying

True...I just want someone to love it ya know? I guess that's why I do this for the love of the thing regardless what I'm making...sometimes I'm super pleased with the results...and sometimes...not so much..I'm hard on myself......but I will stop worrying about it and keep learning that is awesome... I really am going to do that English paper piecing! Does anyone know that link again? I watched and said yep I'm doing that!! Just need to make a template of the octagons..so I can print them and start it!

Underneath the title of this thread at the very top of the page in red letters. You have a choice of operations. One of them is "Search this Thread" and it has a magnifying glass.

I think who ever gets your mug rug will love it! Do you know what I love most about this whole swap thing? It's receiving handmade, authentic projects from all over the globe! I know that we put our hearts into our projects to make them the best they can be. I love the "heart" part of it. I must confess, I haven't put one quilt together that we have worked on!

I also have quilts that are partially put together but haven't finished. One is a log cabin, and the other is trip around the world. A group of ladies at my church got together for a quilt-in-a-day. Well needless to say mine didn't get done in a day and I never got back to it!!

Maybe some day, I will take a notion and finish them!!

I just love the fun and fellowship of the project and learning new things.

If you want to do the La Pass and have a FB account there are free files for a printer friendly version of all the 5 shapes used. This is hopefully a link to the La Pass group I am in on FB, it is a closed group and very friendly.

Well I finished my mug rug then went to the fabric store today and found some fabric I couldn't leave w/o so my person may just get 2. I also found some fabric for my La Pass that will be awesome for fussy cutting.
