Christmas lights.

Is it okay to put Christmas lights on your chicken coop or does that instantly make you the weird chicken guy in the neighborhood?

Who cares if it's weird! Do you like it? I think I'm gonna have to put lights on mine now that you've given me the idea.

Course, I live pretty far out an don't have neighbors in sight

It should be fine. Just make sure they don't get too hot and aren't near any flammable materials.

I bought a fresh wreath with a red ribbon for the front door of the coop. It can be seen from the road

I would totally do it, weird or no, but they got freaked out today because I leaned a rake against the side of the run. Ran into the coop and didn't come out for a couple of hours. Imagine what they would do if there were lights!

My Spice Girls have Chili Pepper lights on their house. It brings out the red metal roof on their abode. If that makes me the Crazy Chicken Lady, oh well.
