I'm going to make them some modified dog treats dipped in yogurt and covered in oats(the chicks new favorite treat as of today)

I can guess that the treats won't last long!

i won't be here on xmas day itself, so i gave them their treat today.

mixture of whole wheat flour, corn meal, hot dogs (icky ones at that), wet dog food, anise seed leftover from morning tea, lard (i freeze fat and such from making meat or homemade soup in small portions), red apple and some sunflower seeds.

they loved it. one of their favorite meals ever it seemed.

there was tons of snow on the ground and they seemed tickled pink.

My husband came home with a big tub of dried meal worms. They've been snacking on those already, though. They love bugs more than anything else. The dogs have been getting their treats already, too. I guess I'm just a big spoiler!

They'll also be getting sprouts and some other stuff. I haven't really decided, yet. Santa's helpers are thinking about starting up a worm bin for them. Mmm...
