Well, I had a feeling this message was going to be posted eventually.
We lost Christopher William overnight last night.
We have no clue if it was from the ice storm and not being able to get to him for 3 days because of a downed power line or what.
He always ate and drank, and "bock bocked" when we'd pick him up...but he never crowed since we brought him in.
He remained a fighter all through the last 2 weeks...but we don't know what he was fighting.
This is his last picture, taken Christmas Day, enjoying being a "house roo".
He looked just like this yesterday, too...just tired and sluggish...so we're all baffled at what might've caused his demise.
We had him out with the other birds yesterday to play in the sun, and he even would come and eat the bread I was throwing out...his favorite treat...just "tired and slow"
RIP Christopher William, you were well loved.
