They probably won’t get to swim in the big lake. We are actually staying outside of Tahoe (due to COVID, camping is limited). We are staying on the American River so they will have access to the river. We also bring their kiddie pool so they have that at all times to play in.
Unfortunately we won’t make it to the north shore. Our pilot boat is in the Tahoe Keyes and the swim is from East to west (Cave Rock to The Godfather Mansion in Homewood). Next year when he swims the length we will explore North Shore a bit more. Oh, and Tahoe is just under 4 hours away
We rafted the North fork of the American years ago (it was really cold, even with a wet suit). That area is beautiful enjoy, am looking forward to reading your adventures. Hope the ducks have fun.
My son thrives in cold water. For his swim across Tahoe, he isn’t allowed a wet suit. Hes a long distance marathon swimmer so he has to follow channel rules. He’s looking forward to some cold water as the water he trains in has been ridiculously hot and wears him out.
Chuck and Buck on the other hand, prefer warm, clear water. Spoiled birds
