Chuckar housing & help Osprey, hawk attack.

Okay I've read that you keep your chuckars and quail away from your chickens, but, does that apply to sumatrian game hens? Do the GH tend to pass on the same problems?

Also, i had an Osprey kill 2 quail this week & a hawk came to hunt & at night there is a very large owl. The quail just started breeding for the first time and are calling 24/7.
I have metal or wood i can place around the bottom. I have cloth, netting, and 2 sizes of industrial strenght metal screen in large rolls? Ideas would be wonderful

The problems are coming from the sky so you need to cover the top of their pen with metal or wood.Metal screen is not going to stop anything.I suggest using hardware cloth on sides and the top and cover the top.You should also have an apron around the perimeter of your pen so 4 legged predators can't get in.
Yes all gamebirds (quail,partridge,pheasants,peafowl,and turkeys)should be housed away from chickens.

i've been told crows, other corvids and mockingbirds deter hawks and ospreys but im not sure about the owl
