You Do Realize That Chukar Will Make Anything You Have Right Now Seem Oh So Sweet And Tame Right? I Mean These Things Make The Spookiest Bob White Look Like Childs Play. They Are Absolute Spaz Fits In Most Cases. Crazy Or Flighty Doesnt Even Come Close To Describing Chukar In Most Captive Scenarios. They Are Extremely Active And Can Be Violently Agressive Birds

A pvc pipe attached to a chick feeder base might work, or you could saw off the top of a small pipe and put chicken wire over it. It is big enough to where the feed will slide through, and they can't scratch it out.

I raise grey chukkars and white chukkars. They never really become tame. If you spend alot of time with them they become less flighty. They tolerate you in the pen with them. I have 5 in a 6'x6' pen, 4 in a 6'x6' pen and 3 in a 5'x5' pen. They are not on wire but have perches to get onto. Very happy and healthy birds.
