I heard a story that if you give your chickens cinamon sugar it will boost them. Is this true or a tall tale?

I assume you use the same ratio's as when you mix cinnamon and sugar for your toast?

Cinnamon is a nutritious product for chickens used with other products to give good health .
One of the best conditioning programs i've seen for chickens list cinnamon as essential .

So, could I just sprinkle some on top of their food from time to time?

Not sure about sugar though.. My understanding is it can ferment and cause sour crop if there's a possible problem starting with the crop.

I think that any cinnamon sugar you have, you should send to me.

That's just my opinion, though.

from someone who eats cinnamon toast as a bedtime snack...

On a more serious note, I would think chickens might not need a lot of sugar unless they really needed a pick me up, since they don't get it in the wild, and that cinnamon would get expensive to be putting in chicken food.

Good luck, I'm interested to see how it turns out.

LOL.. I wasn't thinking of through ALL the food... My thought [hopper style feeder] would be to sprinkle some on top of the food in the [where they eat it] hopper once in a while.
