Cinco is still in the incubator.

I helped him out of his shell where he was stuck yesterday just afternoon.

He hasn't walked yet, but is moving around the incubator, and talking, lots.

This morning I put some Gro-Gel plus in the incubator with him.

He keeps finding all the nooks and crannies between the egg crates and stone heat sinks in the incubator. He's got his face pushed up as far as it can go into these safe, dark places.

Four of his siblings are waiting for him in the brooder.

I'll need all of you (and your chicks) to send good vibes to Cinco if he's going to pull through.

could the light hurt his eyes? it's dark where my incubator is and to look into it i use an led light.

sometimes after i do this cinco squacks.

when i went home for lunch he was spralled out in the open part of the incubator. after i looked at him he pushed his way into the spot he is in the picture.

he may have eaten some of the gro gel, either that or he bumped into the dish it's in; it was definitely not in the same place as when i put it in.

If he's totally dry I'd put him in the brooder with the others but do it when you know you'll be home for the day/evening so that you can keep a watchful eye on him. If he's a bit weaker or smaller than the others it's good to make sure they're not going to pick on him. Being in with the bigger guys might help him learn about food/water and get his bearings a bit better but like I said, just keep a close eye for the first day or so to make sure he's doing ok in there.

he's in with the others but they're standing on him and pecking him

and i'm not sure he's up for this

he still hasn't stood up
