Cinder Block Coop

Lets see your coop Buster?

My coop is predator proof when I shut the doors at night. But I did shut two cats in there twice last week. They were curled up in the pile of straw DH brought home. Once I shut BB in there alone and she was asleep in the nesting box the nest am, like it was where she belonged

Which one? The 8x23 woodshed I converted? Or the new one I'm building? I gotta exchange some lumber at Home Depot this morning, but I'm going to be building some more with my dad later today. Yesterday it was all me and I'm sore!

I have asked and asked and practically begged for hogs. I even tried the suggested ultimatum "sheep or hogs" and I get a very stern NO. DH used to raise hogs so he doesnt want anything to do with them. My MIL grew up on our farm. They had hogs, chickens, milk cows, bees, fruit trees and a huge huge garden.

We used to raise a lot of em, when I decided I wanted to get a few around here....my wife was all for it. She asked me if I would want to contract feed hogs for added income, but I just don't want to get back into it on that scale again. For being a Detroit city girl, she sure adapted to my way of life. Guess I'll keep her another 30 years.
