Cinnamon Queens? And gender?

CQ are sex linked. Cockerels are white and pullets are brownish red as chicks if this is the first generation.
Hi, yes I learned about that. But I got them from craigslist, so I just want to make sure if they are pullets since that was the deal. The owner might got it from two different hatcheries. So I do not know if they are first gen or not.

The only thing you can make sure of at this age is that they are chickens.

If they are not sexlinks of some sort, it will be several more weeks before you can tell much about the gender. And if they ARE sexlinks, it will still be several more weeks before you can tell that for sure.

It looks to me like the one that hangs out in the rightmost part of the box has some fairly noticeable brown feathers--that's right for a Cinnamon Queen pullet. The one you touch looks all white to me, which would either a Cinnamon Queen cockerel, or a chick of some breed where both genders are white, or a mistake on my part :)

At hatch, sexlinks can be sexed by down color. When they're mature, the feather colors are noticeably different.

If you do a google image search for Cinnamon Queen chickens, you may notice that the hens all have brown, but some also have a lot more white than others--the chicks also have varying amounts of both colors as they grow feathers, and sometimes that's confusing for a while.

I got an update from my neighbor! Apparently the two darker one are Black Star, and the two lighter one are Cinnamon Queens. And yes, she bought it from the same hatchery, and all of them should be female. Do you think it's accurate from the video? When I checked black star on the internet, the chicks are definitely black from the start... Arghh. I am confused.. 😖

There are no Black Star chicks in that box in your video.

You might indeed have female chicks, but it will probably be some weeks before you can really tell gender. By then they'll have enough feathers to make a better guess on breed, too.
