Cinnamon Queens-- cold hardy?

welcome-byc.gif
I'm glad you joined our "flock!"

I've never raised Cinnamon Queens (or any other type of Red Sex-link before), but I know people who do, and their birds have been rather cold hardy. The only thing you sometimes need to worry about is frostbite to their single comb and wattles.

I have a cinnamon queen and a new hampshire red and I found the cinnamon queen to be very pecky and distant and my red is very sweet and calm

Welcome!! :)
Cinnamon Queens (AKA Red sexlinks, golden buffs, golden comets, red stars, etc.) generally are very cold hardy! My girls did just fine in -15 this past winter :) Several of them continued laying through it, though less often in the worst part of the cold snap
