City girl gone chicken crazy!!

Hi guys! My name is Lindsay and I am just outside of St Louis MO is rural Illinois. I am a city girl through and through but with my garden and chickens I might be a convert eventually! I have posted regarding my 4 babies I am unsure of anything about them after waaaaay too many internet searches! Today I was forced to get help because on of my "girls" started crowing!! Hope to find guidance here because I just love my new chickens and can't imagine NOT having them now! What personalities!! Who knew!!

I hate to say it diva but I think our crowing"hen" is a roo!! Its all good really juat a bit curious about my girls..ummm and boy since this is my first try with chickens...

! Pleased you joined us! Are you allowed to keep roos where you live? Nothing wrong with a flock rooster as long as he isn't mean to you or his hens. Best of luck to you!

We are allowed to keep the little guys. He seems fairly relaxed, a bit skiddish to humans and seems to only go after ine of our hens..I will have to watch that!! I worry mostly about blood stained eggs...totally freaks me out. Not sure there is much I can do there though!
