I bought 5 week old pullets from a lady that raises and sells them. She only sells her birds when they get all their feathers and can be outside. She raises several breeds and has been in business for years. Id like to get buff orpington next. If we get any more.

Welcome! Personally, I love my mixed flocks. I enjoy my colorful egg baskets and variety of birds. But I’m not raising chickens to sell or perpetuate any breeds. I enjoy getting eggs and knowing where my meat is coming from.
